Kenneth handles land acquisition, site layout and design, budgeting and entitlement approvals for Gulf Coast Development and Design.
Kenneth attended Louisiana State University and graduated in 2005 with a BA in Business Administration. After graduation, Kenneth entered commercial real estate with Coldwell Banker Commercial Alfonso Realty. During his 14 years with CBC, he sold & leased various types of real estate including office, retail, multi-family, land, NNN, hotels, and other investment properties. For four consecutive years, Kenneth had the highest commercial sales for the Mississippi Gulf Coast Association of Realtors and has received numerous awards from Coldwell Banker Commercial International.
After 14 years at CBC, Kenneth joined Elliott Homes in 2017 as the Vice President of Land. From 2017 to 2021, he was responsible for all acquisitions, entitlements, approvals, and development for the Company. During his time with Elliott Homes, Kenneth delivered hundreds of lots for the company and brought new innovations to developments in South Mississippi including Low Impact Development & Natural Playgrounds.
In 2021, Kenneth left Elliott Homes to start Gulf Coast Development & Design and in a short amount of time, he and Andy Phelan (Co-Owner of GCDD) have enjoyed their success with several single family, townhome and multi-family projects.
Kenneth and his wife Leigh have been married for 13 years. They reside in Gulfport with their daughter Frazier (11). Kenneth has been heavily involved with the community his whole life and has served on the board of numerous organizations including Coast Young Professionals, Coast Chamber of Commerce, March of Dimes, Mental Health Association, Biloxi Bay Chamber of Commerce, Goodwill of South MS, Land Trust of Mississippi Coastal Plain. Kenneth has received the Top 10 under 40 award from the MS Coast Chamber of Commerce and has been selected for the Gulf Coast Business Council “Master Class” twice.
Andy provides project management, coordination of wetlands permitting and survey services and performs civil engineering design for Gulf Coast Development and Design.
Andy graduated, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi in May 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Andy took a position as an Engineer-in-Training with Pickering Firm, Inc. in June 2005 where he stayed until co-founding GCDD in April 2021. At Pickering, Andy worked on projects including design and project management of stormwater conveyance and detention systems, civil site design, erosion control measures, roadway design, and utility design. Andy served as Team Leader for Pickering’s Gulf Coast, where he managed an office staff of as many as 7 employees, prepared annual budgets, provided quarterly reports to the other office locations, and developed scope and schedule for capital projects.
Andy was selected as the Young Engineer of the Year by the Mississippi Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers in 2015 and was a 2019 recipient of the MS Gulf Chamber of Commerce’s Top 10 Under 40.
In 2021, Andy teamed with Kenneth Jones to found Gulf Coast Development & Design; in less than 18 months, GCDD had already experienced multiple marketable successes including building several single family and townhome developments, “flipping” projects to other developers, and design of multi-family projects.
Andy and his wife Carabeth have been married for 18 years and are parents to Patrick (14) and Caroline (11). They reside in Ocean Springs where Andy is the chairman of the Ocean Springs Planning Commission. Andy is also a board member for the Greater Biloxi Economic Development Foundation, on the Business Advisory Council for the Gulf of Mexico Alliance, and a board member for the local American Public Works Association.
